Chairman recognised by Newbury Town Council



Chairman Bill Piner gets recognition from Newbury Town Council for his Civic contribution

Bill was one of a number of people who were nominated for the annual Newbury Town Civic Award in recognition of their work for the community in Newbury.

The nomination was much deserved as Bill has been a trustee of The Charity of Mrs Mabel Luke for 26 years and has served as Chairman 23 years He was also a governor of Park House School and a past Chairman of Greenham Parish Council.

Bill has been the unswerving leader of the plan to make full use of the plot of land purchased by Mrs Mabel Luke in 1928 for the benefit of the people in Newbury and the Parish of Greenham. As a result the project to build a total of 16 Flats in Mabel Luke Place commenced in February 2016.
